Dr. Trangle recently retired as Senior Medical Director for Behavioral Health. His work history also included Vice President for Medical Affairs/Chief Medical Officer at Regions Hospital, and Executive Medical Director for Behavioral Health, Allina.
He has been active in regional quality improvement initiatives and collaboratives including depression guidelines, improving depression outcomes in primary care, and in behavioral health clinics; improving care and longevity for patients with mental illnesses and/or chemical dependency; worked on improving crisis services: reducing psychiatric re-admissions, improving the flow of psychiatric patients throughout all levels of care, and improving the civil commitment process. He has been a consultant and co-chair of MNCM’s Depression Measure Workgroup. He’s currently on the MN Governor’s Advisory Council for Mental Health, the National Quality Forum’s Standing Committee on Behavioral Health Measurement, several national quality initiatives and boards of directors. Dr. Trangle is a Lifetime Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and is the immediate past President of the MN Psychiatric Society.
